Driving in Kenya
- When driving while in Kenya, keep left always
- Wearing a seat belf while driving is a must in Kenya
- Maximum speed on major highways for private cars is 110KPH
- Maximum speed on major highways for public service vehicles is 80KPH
- Make sure that you carry your driving licence before sitting behind the wheel
- A traffic police officer can request to see your driving licence at any time, please comply
- In case of an accident, contact the car hire agent or dial 112 on your mobile phone, do not remove your vehicle from the scene of the accident
- It may be dangerous to drive on some highways at night, when dusk sets in, check in a motel/hotel and proceed with your journey the following day
- In case you want to refill your car's tank, just pull over to any gas station and do the refill
